The Haven Night Shelter has seen many homeless people take refuge from the cold/rainy weather, into our shelters, making the shelters full to capacity. The Haven opened many bedspaces this Winter and this too has been occupied.
The Haven is in the process of creating 60 extra (permanent) bedspaces at Napier Street by moving the current Head Office. A further 20 bedspaces will be created at Wynberg

THE HAVEN BELIEVES NO ONE SHOULD HAVE TO LIVE ON OUR STREETS.
There comes a stage in the downward path of certain human beings at which point, they literally can no longer help themselves. At that point someone has to step in and give them a lift; that is what THE HAVEN tries to do.
What WE DO
The Haven Night Shelter Welfare Organisation provides temporary shelter, physical care, social welfare and family
re-unification services to adult homeless persons in
the Western Cape.
ABOUT US
The Haven Night Shelter was established in 1978 in Cape Town, South Africa. We were registered as a Section 21 (a) (Not for Gain) Public Company in 1983, a Non Profit Organisation in 2000, and as a Public Benefit Organisation in 2004.
